For some drivers, the right modification is the difference between driving and not driving. We assess, prescribe, trial and support funding for driver vehicle modifications, including:

• spinner knobs and hand controls

• left-foot accelerator

• steering aids for limited arm function

• wheelchair lifts and hoists

• lowered-floor conversions and ramps

• wheelchair tie-downs and docking stations

• higher-level and secondary driving controls

An occupational therapy driving assessment is required. Modifications are identified during intake or after the off-road session, then trialled on-road to confirm they’re safe and effective. We guide you through prescription, the on-road trial, funding applications (NDIS, TAC, WorkSafe) and any licence conditions applied by VicRoads.
